It will be the responsibility of the principal of each building to determine whether all or any educational support personnel assigned to his/her building remain on the job:
1. during an emergency closure of schools; or
2. during an emergency situation which affects the employee(s) but which does not force a closure of schools.
Employees will be paid only for hours worked in such a situation. However, principals may arrange for the employee(s) to work hours equal to those lost in a non-overtime situation so total salary will be comparable.
