4380-R Violence in the Workplace

  • Any individual observing violence which poses an immediate danger to persons or property is expected to:

    • Secure their personal safety first. This may include leaving the area if their safety is at risk.
    • Find a safe place and call 911, if applicable.
    • Immediately notify a supervisor or administrator of the incident.
    • Attempt to get information such as the name and description of the perpetrator.
    • When applicable, the District and its employees will cooperate fully with law enforcement officials in the investigation and prosecution of violent acts.
    No employee or third party, excluding law enforcement personnel, is permitted to bring weapons or firearms into the workplace or onto District property for any reason without written permission of the Board.
