NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
To assume responsibility for the planning, organizing, and development of quality career technical education programs for Campbell County School District and the Gillette Campus of Northern Wyoming Community College District.
Identifies new programs and grant options based upon the needs of students and employment options in region.
Advises the Superintendent of Schools and Provost of the Gillette Campus as to the operation and status of all career technical education programs.
Serves as a liaison person with the business and industry community for the establishment of partnerships.
Directs the development of advisory committees.
Monitors trends and industrial training needs and assesses effectiveness of current programs.
Facilitates the development of tech prep, school-to-career and other innovative career technical education programs, curriculum and standards.
Coordinates program evaluations with outside agencies as applicable.
Collaborates in writing and monitors state and federal grants for the promotion of career and technical courses and programs.
Assists in the orientation, in-service training, and professional development of career technical education staff.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Supervises preparation of public relations materials and projects related to career technical education training opportunities in the district.
Keeps abreast of the current trends and keeps occupational training programs current with changing needs of business and industry.
Assists in the planning of facilities for career technical education training.
Suggests development or revision of policies related to career technical education programs.

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
Master's Degree in Vocational Education or related field.
Administrative experience, certification preferred.

Have visual acuity and stamina to work at a computer monitor for 10% of the day.
Have physical stamina to speak for 3 or more hours at one time.
Air conditioned building.
Occasional exposure to weather extremes.
