NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
To provide opportunities for students to enroll in a "Mentorship" class(es), in order to provide access to unpaid work based experiences for all interested students in Campbell County.
Develops the goals and the curriculum for an expanded mentorship program.
Develops a yearly plan of action for mentorship classes.
Teaches the currently established Mentorship I and II classes and to expand to a much broader program or series of classes that allow all students to benefit.
Communicates on a regular basis with the Career Specialists.
Establishes liaisons with all teachers currently involved with the work based programs, so that effective coordination occurs.
Establishes liaisons between education and work appropriate for the mentorship classes.
Assists students in identifying goals and outcomes for their mentorship experience and to communicate these to the appropriate employer.
Develops methods to effectively match students with the appropriate employers.
Acts as a central contact for mentorship activities.
Observes students at the workplace, and communicates often with the students and the employers as to the effectiveness of the program.
Assists in integrating school based and work based learning.
Encourages participation of employers, through the coordination of the Career Fair, community contacts, town meetings, personal visits, and BIE Roundtables.
Collects and analyzes data concerning post program outcomes of participants, and assigns grades with the assistance of the student and the employer.
Communicates with the administrators of all secondary schools in Campbell County to effectively address the needs of all students. These schools include the following: Campbell County High School, Wright Junior/Senior High School and Westwood High School.
Promotes and follows adopted Campbell County School District and Northern Wyoming Community College philosophy and administrative procedures.
Works with Special Populations Coordinators, At-Risk Aides, Special Education staff, and Career Center Personnel to assure services to special population students enrolled in high school CTE program areas receiving Perkins Funding.
Communicates with counseling departments, and the Career Technical Education Coordinator on a regular basis.
Assists with the promotion of all aspects of the Tech Prep process in Campbell County.

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field, preferably with workplace experience.
Valid Wyoming Teaching Certificate.
Valid Wyoming Driver's license.
Continues to pursue graduate level classes for professional growth.
