5124 - In-School Discipline and Suspension Program (IDSP) Junior & Senior High School

  • JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

In an effort to meet the educational needs of more children, Campbell County School District has established an in-school discipline and suspension program (IDSP).

IDSP programs will provide a structured environment for students who are in violation of school rules resulting in the removal of a student from the normal classroom environment. When appropriate, school administration will utilize this program in accordance with student behavior expectations and consequences communicated to students, parents, and staff.

Exceptions to assignment to IDSP will be made when policy violations are of such consequence that:
    (1) student or staff health, safety or welfare is in such jeopardy as to constitute a high risk or
    (2) the educational process is significantly disrupted by the presence of the violator(s).

In these situations it will be the responsibility of the building administrator to assign the
    student(s) out-of-school suspension.
